The Santa Stops program was created in 1994 by city leaders to bring Christmas cheer to our community. Santa would jump on his sleigh with his elves and carolers and stop at the white stars to greet children and their families. At each stop, community members donated non-perishable food items and unwrapped toys to benefit our local families. During covid, the Santa Stops program was halted due to safety concerns. In 2023, the program was brought back with a few changes and upgrades to make the Murrieta Santa Stops better than ever.
The highly popular Murrieta Santa Stops is always looking for dedicated individuals, (high school age & up), to help bring the magic of Santa and holiday cheer to this great community. Check out the "Volunteer" page for more information.
You can check the Murrieta Community Services and Murrieta Santa Stops Facebook pages during the days of December 1 - 11. Once the Santa Stops have started each night, you can track Santa using the Santa Tracker.
